thanks miguel for guidance actually i needed more precise n pinpointed info, i know you have a bugzilla, have gone thru it but since i m new to it,couldnt make much sense out it, thats why i asked u can u pinpoint me to a small bug or a small module which help me to begin with mono n understand it better.
also advise a sample API to write regerssion test for? BTW, i was reading that post abt MS patenting .NET and preventing other free Implementations like MONO to come out, what do u think abt that and how will MONO continue if MS enforces that? regards Vatsal ----- Original Message ----- From: "vatsal a" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Fri, 13 Dec 2002 10:06:22 +0500 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Mono-list] Newbie needs guidance > hi, > i m new to mono n want to contribute as a developer, > i have been using linux for long, developed gUI apps using gtk etc > > i have gone thru FAQ ,ways to contribute etc on mono's website, i need few pointers >and guidance abt how to start as a mono newbie, > > i mean > > #)point me to somethin easier to start with(some small module or some kind of >bugfixing) > #)which lang i should go ahead with(shall i need to learn C#) > #)what are the areas and docs to look into for understanding mono and its >implementation better, links? > #) to contribute well, what areas(language, concepts) i should be good at? > #) anyother tips and guidance which can help me in movin ahead > > > BTW u guys are indeed doin a good job, keep it up > > regards > Vatsal > > > > > > -- > ______________________________________________ > http://www.linuxmail.org/ > Now with POP3/IMAP access for only US$19.95/yr > > Powered by Outblaze > > _______________________________________________ > Mono-list maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-list -- ______________________________________________ http://www.linuxmail.org/ Now with POP3/IMAP access for only US$19.95/yr Powered by Outblaze _______________________________________________ Mono-list maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-list
