I haven't tried copying the zip files. The way I read that thread Wei-Yuen Tan already has tried that and its still not working correctly. I only upgraded because I have an urgent problem to fix and the beachball in 4.1.1.1 was unworkable. So now I have MonoTouch not working well because of a different problem and still got the urgent issue. The urgent issue is more important right at the moment. I just wanted the team aware of it and it looks like they are.
