Problem solved :-) The issue was actually in updating MonoDevelop along
side MonoTouch (sorry, I thought it was a MonoTouch issue). So I updated
MonoTouch via the Xamarin updater, then updated MonoDevelop by downloading
the latest beta binary at MonoDevelop.com.

Many thanks for all your help. Now on to debug my original issue :-)
