In addition to the above, I have tried to duplicate the debug settings build settings and have noticed that in debug, the Enable Profiling flag is set but in release it is not. Unfortunately, I cannot set it in release as it is disabled and when I hover over the option, I receive the the following hint:
Your version of MonoTouch does not support Profiling. If it does not support it, then why is it turned on in the debug build settings?
