Hi Rolf,

I don't really know what the problem was but when I created a brand new
project and then copied all the files into that project, it all works fine. 
I think there must have been some issue with the previous version of mono or
monotouch when creating the projects.  Upgrading to the beta seems to have
fixed it all.
