Same problem here.. 8GB and Sata HD just 2 duo core, to VM it's too much,
just one windows 7 with 1GB of RAM, single virtual core. Always stay with
1,5GB of inactive RAM that appear that is not freed in time to things that
need it, making a lot of swap and letting things slow.

(my first machine, Apple II+, I think a single core with 8Mhz on turbo mode
and maybe 64Kb of RAMŠ My first IDE HD with 10MB?)

These guys will tell you (and sell you) EXACTLY what you need

http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/apple/memory/

Kingston.com is also good for telling you the most you can take.

I have a MacBookPro6,2, so I'm stuck at 8GB.

"stuck at 8GB". My first machine had 0.5MB.... <sigh>
