I'm with you there. I hate touchpads with a passion. I also grew up with the 
pointing stick and was one of my main reasons for getting a certain HP a few 
years ago.

Not silly at all.  I use Bootcamp on my MBP for Windows development.  I'm just 
a pointing stick snob.  For me, that's a major issue.  I don't like laptops 
that don't have the pointing stick.  I use the MBP for iOS development, but am 
not the biggest fan.  I realize for others, its not a big deal, but I grew up 
in the IBM world, and think that the pointing stick is a big deal.  
cough...chough........I'd go for hackintosh, but I don't think its fully 
supported....cough cough.....
