I've already changed this behavior in the mootools 2 branch, I think
I'll also do that for the 1.2.x version. Every method, but 'post' or
'get' are emulated there ;)

Some browsers have some quirks or doesn't support all verbs to get

Also, some home routers and firewalls blocks those verbs by default,
so some users would have issues with it.
In fact, I would love it if all other WebDav verbs were emulated as
well. I use those all the time.

I always disable the emulation, too. I'm not sure why that got added.

That's right. I'm a rails developer and use REST and all the verbs
quite a bit. They all seem to work without emulation.

i dont use rails but it should be to use REST, so depending on

Presumably at some point something didn't support PUT and DELETE
methods. The documentation on mootools.net mentions rails.
Turning off emulation, though, everything works as expected.
Things
are PUT and DELETE'ed in IE6 and FFox against Rails.
Is there another situation in which the emulation option is
useful?
Thanks,
Jonathan
