Jerry Goldsmith was one of my favorites,,,
My friend who is secretatry of the Toledo Symphony arranged a meeting
with me and Jerry when he was a guset withe the symphony...
the guy was a gentleman .. very real... and very kind.....
I still have a card he wrote to me on how to write him with his address
on it...
Sadley I never wrote Jerry.. I guess i assumed he would be around a long
time... I regret that I never wrote him...
we take so much for granted..
he wrote some great masterpiece scores... I never knew how much he did
...
the list is impressive!
i remember this cool cat with grey hair in a long Ponytail... and i
remember my grandmother calling symphony guys the Longhairs....
well the cool part is Jerrys spirit left in his music will stay with
us..
and his humbleness and taking Time to shake my hand... Priceless to
me..
rest in peace Jerry Goldsmith great composer!
