Nope, I'm saying that virtually everybody did experience a
problem with them and PayPal didn't care (which it turns out was unethical
AND illegal, apparently). So, why not try and get a few dollars back from
them? And, if you don't jump into the class, and the settlement is
confirmed - you're out of luck.
I got one of those PayPal debit cards a year or two ago. The
very first transaction I made with it ended up getting double charged from my
account. There was no way of actually reporting it to PayPal (no phone
number, web form or email, of course). Sent an email to the closest
department - it was ignored (apparently, they just deleted all these emails
unanswered). After an hour of searching their help center, I found that
there was only one way of handling this sort of thing - you had to fill out a
massive form and fax it back to them (and there was some stupid requirement,
like it couldn't be mailed to them or vice versa). So, I figured it wasn't
worth my time to get the double charge removed...
Good day,
Bob
Bob,
Are you suggesting that everyone who has a PayPal acount should jump into
this class action thing just because they "qualify"? Even if they never
experienced any problems?

this Paypal notice?
Well...
If anyone had a PayPal debit card, that pretty much guaranteed A.
If you had a PayPal account and you didn't live in the US, that
satisfied B (some would say all PayPal accounts satisfied B).
If you had an unauthorized transfer, buyer complaint or
chargeback, that satisfied C and D (as PayPal apparently just deleted
these emails unanswered).
I scored 4 for 4!!!!! So, virtually everybody with a PayPal
account satisfies at least one of the criteria...
Good day,
Bob
Hello all,
With all respect to the above post, it is
wrong. This is not a free money to all situation, you have to prove
you experienced a problem. Here is the quote from the both the short
and long form qualification pages at the law firms site:
- You experienced an unauthorized or incorrect electronic transfer to
or from your PayPal account;
- Your PayPal account was improperly restricted or access was
improperly limited;
- You requested information from PayPal about an account restriction
or limitation or unauthorized transfer and you did not receive a
satisfactory response; and/or
- You experienced or reported an unsatisfactory result from a dispute
with PayPal involving a chargeback, a refund, a buyer complaint, or
PayPalâs Seller Protection Policy, Buyer Complaint Process and/or Buyer
Protection Policy.
Notice it says nothing about only being a Paypal member.
Thanks,
Todd
