Thanks Bruce ,,, ys I played Hooky again Today with My son and man did
we have a blast!!!
they have a convention of all the teachers of Film in the USA all in one
place- TOLEDO... so my son went by himself as I had a doc appt.. and he
got personal instruction from Lazlo Kovacs asc one of the worlds best
cinematographers.. ( hes hungarian) I aske him to go To Tony Packos
but he didnt know about it... Ironically my friend mark Packo is a
filmaker and is Hunfgarian... so I must like Hungarians... LOLOLOL
anyways we got all this free stuff and the American cinematographer guys
were real nice to us.. and all the people were... we met this film
producer named; Mark Bosko that did a cult classic Killer nerds... and
he gave us aBOOK... we also got all kinds of cool magazines and stuff
from Kodak
and it turns out the guy who lost his tripods was a photgrapher from
KOdak..!!!
guess who got treated like Royalty for finding the tripods and stands..
I am telling you we are in heaven..also...Daryn Okada ASC.. signed a
magazine to my son and gave him his email and said ask him anything!!!
hes in the 85th adition of american cinematographer,,,
also My son met hid teachers from TU and they were all great and very
nice. we met film people from world over saw new gear.. and they even
had posters!!!
I went and made up some products in like a hour and took them back as
Gifts and to showour work...
so theyseemed just as surprised by us being there.
anyway I am delayed another day of orders But I dont regret it at all..
somehow when Tommys like 30 I dont think he will say... who he never
missed a UPS pick-up but he will remember the words of Lazlo.. who said
his apartment was in back of Graumanns... and he would watch movie
premires and say some day my movie will be there,,, the ASC said to come
back when he spoke English..
well he did Both and he was able to speak to my son and pass the energy
along with Daryn who also was as giving and humble as they come.
fact is i only learned about this last night at 6;00 P.M. and the even t
was at 8:00 ... I had planned a long night of packing...
well
ask yourself did I make the right choice.... You tell me..
and to end on a poste note the Poster for the american cinematographer
are excellent!!
If you can get them do... as they are Great!!!!
we are so excited we actually are sick....
Thanks Bruce you are 100% right I need to do less email.. Ive been
attempting But I get excited and passionate about things...
but I must say... we got in for Free!!!! and we were in amazement!!
My son got to see his dream camera... and saw video assist on a aaton
35mm to die for................
