Helmut,

Absolutely amazing. My jawed is dropped. This clearly demonstrates where their priorities are -- they will spend the money to monitor any possible negative comment about eBay on their bulletin boards and catch it within minutes, but they won't spend the money to monitor and stop someone buying 16,000 items in eleven hours. Incredible. Criminal. Arrogant...

... but wait, I've mentioned this about eBay before... I think someone even started a new auction site dedicated exclusively to movie posters that doesn't have any of these problems... a site where lots of people like to look at and buy posters, but a site which has NOT had any large amount of support from the dealer community which continues to be victimized by eBay and yet still continues to list on eBay and won't even take the time to put a few of their posters up that new movie poster-only auction site and give it a try...

So, it seems like eBay isn't the only one with long-term policy problems and lack of vision.

... now let me see... what was that thing called... something like "MoviePosterBid.com"? And who started it...? ... oh yeah, now I remember...

Subject: [MOPO] Fwd: Discussion Board Policy - Trust & Safety (SafeHarbor) - filmposter.net

eBay is unable to shut down an apparently
hijacked account for three days, but post a
warning on their discussion board, and, boy, can
they be fast... The message below came only a few
hours after I had started the thread on one of
their forums.
