Michael,

Glad to finally know your name. I don't think you can change the member name you used to sign up to MOPO with  -- but if you send a message to Scott Burns, he can probably assign you a new membership with a new name of your choice and cancel the old one. If you don't want to do that, just start signing your messages at the end with "mike" or whatever (I always slap "JR" at the end of mine). Me, I like people like yourself who are willing to post with questions or comments that might not be so popular with some and sometimes go against the flow or convention. That having been said..

...if you're going to do that (and I hope you continue) you need to double check your steps sometimes and try to focus statements so they don't inadvertently create an effect that you might not have been looking for... like you can see if you look closely that Zeev wasn't making any kind of blanket endorsement of any dealers -- what he said was "I don't doubt for one second the veracity of all your accounts, what I found a bit grating was your mention of MOPO and "unscrupulous dealers " in the same breath." In other words he was just objecting to you connecting the prejudicial term "unscrupulous" with MOPO so closely... like, it may have seemed to some that you were saying that MOPO dealers are unscrupulous as opposed to non-MOPO dealers who aren't. Except, of course, that there is no such thing as a MOPO dealer. The dealers who post to MOPO also post to Movie Poster Talk, the Style B list and lots of other places. So, saying that they "stick together" on MOPO can be seen by some as a kind of a weird blindside slap on MOPO as a list. I haven't seen the dealers behave any differently here than they do on any other list.  Hey, really, if there is a place where the dealers are always undercutting each other and sniping at each other and generally at each other's throats all the time... well, cool! Please send me the URL so I can watch -- sounds like great entertainment -- even better than a cat fight!

first, my name is michael, although my stuff get distribued as ANON.   (dont know how to change it,)

------------

kirby is probably correct when he said that there were no reissue posters.  one way to verify this, although not foolproof, is to look at any data base (book, guide, internet) showing sales.  you will see listing for the sales of the 1946 paper, but no other sales for subsequent paper.
although i am not keen on re-issues, re-issues can be found on ebay ar bargain rates when bidding starts low.

----------------

zeev's unequivocal pronouncements as to the integrity of ALL dealers on MOPO is quite comical.  facts support that there are unscrupulous dealers on MOPO.  i didnt say ALL.  (i have had good dealings in purchases with MOPO members0.  my opinion that some dealers on MOPO are unscrupulous is based on chatting privately with other MOPO members, postings, and my personal expereinces.   but zeev defends ignorantly ALL members without any basis therefor, similar to protesting michael jackson's innocence merely because you liked his album, Thriller.
