[MOPO] Famous Hollywood Murder Trials

I'm sure everyone knows that "Little Beaver" aka Bobby Blake was acquitted
of capital murder charges today
Here is a list of other (in)-famous Hollywood trials.
acquittals...
Fatty Arbuckle... acquitted of murder in the death of a young starlet -
Virginia Rappe  -  whom he was alleged to have sexually assaulted with ice
as well as his big fat body, whereupon her spleen was burst & she died  the
next day in the hospital. He sat through 3 trials before being acquitted
and Fatty who was once one of the top box office draws before the trial had
his career derailed. He directed comedies under the name William Goodrich
before dying in 1933 at 46, the day after he signed a contract with MGM to
act in a series of shorts that he had begun a year earlier
OJ Simpson.. no need for me to retell this story as if you  don't know it,
you would have to be on mars
Lana Turner's daughter Cheryl Crane .... acquitted of the 1957 murder of
Turner's boyfriend, mafia associate Johnny Stompanato who was at the moment
beating Lana. During the trial it was revealed that Stompanato was
molesting the teenage Crane as well as  Turner's former husband Lex Barker,
who been abusing Crane for 4 years while he was married to Turner. Barker
was blacklisted in Hollywood and was forced to move to Europe where he made
many films before dying in 1967

Paul Kelly.. convicted in the murder of actor Ray Raymond, the husband of
Kelly's mistress in 1927, Kelly spent 25 months in San Quentin. He married
Dorothy Raymond after his release & resumed his career upon his release in
1931.

unsolved....
the murder of William Desmond Taylor in 1922. This story was later told in
a book called "Cast of Killers" based on research by Hollywood great King
Vidor who after finding out who he believed was the murderer put the
research in a box in his basement for over 50 years that was uncovered
after his death. His conclusion was that Taylor was most likely murdered by
the mother of Mary Miles Minter.
