Dear David:
OK, here's a slightly different one for you...
I will not be posting on MoviePosterTalk any more - as I have now been banned...
;o)
Cheers,
Bob

I'll never understand why some people feel compelled to send out the equivalent of a clipped news release that they're leaving ANY Internet forum. Why an announcement? It isn't necessary unless you wanna make sure people w/pending business or other important matters w/you to know where you'll be. Just leave and come back. I've left MoPo a couple of times (esp. after the 2003 California fires) and very few noticed. I've been called a humorless and stuck-up guy many times. If you dish it out, then you should be able to take it. If you can't, leave, but I wouldn't post an announcement about it. Less than 24 hrs. ago Gary wrote:
BTW - do not expect to be able to crticize my post/opinion and not hear from me, I speak my mind, when I feel it is necessary and/or appropriate, on whatever topic I wish. Anyone who knows me knows I am a reasonable guy that speaks his mind - AND, I will always admit I was wrong if I was, unlike others we all know. Peace.
Now he's backing off of this SPECIFIC to THIS forum, stating he's quitting mopo because people think he's less than honest. there are still 400 others who haven't weighed in either way so an "announced exit" does feels like opinionated counter-jabs from a tiny no. of people were enough to make Gary wanna leave. Donnie, with all of his fans, did the same thing, that is, make an announcement. Gary's a smart guy, well-educated. I can tell. I understand when people leave, but I don't understand this compulsion to announce it in a huff.

Yawn.
I believe the appropriate schoolyard response to this would have been something like: "Gee, you can dish it out but you sure can't take it..."

Just thought I'd let the list know my outspoken nature will be severed at this point. Congratulations!!!! I'll come back eventually, but the accusations that I am less than honest and have an "agenda" are quite frankly Bullshit, and undeserved. I've always been open and honest about my feelings and apparantly there is no place for that here. Have fun discussing the same old sterile (safe) content. Regards,
Gary
