Title: Avoiding the Star Wars effect

I have not read all the posts about photographing, this could have been suggested.

I bought a 4'x8' piece of plywood, and a roll of metal flange (I think this is what it was called), these are about 1' wide.  I cut the strips the length of the plywood and secured them with liquid nails, covering the entire sheet with the metal surface.  I then bought some strong square magnets.  I have put paper over the metal the size of a one sheet as a guide.  You can then put up any poster up to 3 sheet size with the magnets and not damage the poster.  Of course you don't have to use the full size if you don't have a need for it.

I don't know about your lighting situation.  I am in a warehouse setting and have an overhead fluorescent light and have to shade it some.  I do get a glare and you will have a glare from the metal on some situations.

Hope this helps.

Tony
