Having read "all sides" -- I'm confident upon which side most
"conscientious" sellers AND buyers will fall. These public disputes (which
they involve two people) -- were about paper grading, managing expectations,
turnaround speed and the lengths people should go to fix problems. People
make mistakes. But when customers or sellers come to MOPO to blow off
steam, it's like when they go to the media -- it's a last resort when
something isn't resolved. I'm guilty of this myself.
When s*** hits the fan, it's RARE any "side" is blindsided by problems.
They're blindsided when problems go public. Such stuff brews for weeks and
can be avoided. Kuspa and Greenwood met "dead ends" and moved forward. Mr.
Shevy met "dead ends" too, but I can't help wondering if I told people I was
"slow" -- and that others had PUBLICLY questioned my ability to spot defects
(again, people make mistakes) -- whether he'd be confident buying a plasma
TV from me. (He might not for other reasons.) But his attitude
illustrates, in my view, that he does have a threshhold beyond which he
won't go, when things get hairy. There's a "fair warning" he's expressing
in his notes, esp. the part about being "slow."
Hence if you're OK w/Kuspa's and Greenwood's accounts, let them buy. If
you're not, don't. I don't think they're lying, now that I've read all
sides. Greenwood's account adds a second layer of doubt about Mr. Shevy,
which supports Kuspa. And in fairness, if you're you're OK w/Mr. Shevy's
"standards," as stated in his own words, esp. about his mostly happy
customers, buy. If you're not, don't.
