REPRODUCTION/REPRINT These are both the same. It is a poster made from a
original or copy to be sold . Such as ONE STOP,ZIGZAG or PORTAL. Many times
the poster is the same as the ORIGINAL and hard to tell the difference from
and therefore sold as original when in fact not.
REISSUE/RE-RELEASE This is a STUDIO made poster that is a reproduction of
the ORIGINAL or NEW ART WORK and is a LEGIT movie poster used in THEATERS
for the re-release of a movie or extended run. Most of the time has a R in
front of the date.
FAKE. This is a poster made by a NON COMMERCIAL or NON STUDIO outlet to be
sold as a ORIGINAL POSTER. Most of the time it is a HIGH res scanned image
that is photoshopped and reproduced at a printer and then sold as a original
release.VERY EXPENSIVE to do as a printer charges at least 1000.00 to set up
a press. But if you know someone in printing then they can do this on the
side. OBVIOUS example of this is the FAMOUS PULP FICTION ADVANCE fake. There
are MANY out there. Some are not even fakes but called fake. There are many
ZIGZAG posters sold as ORIGINAL. They are legit but they are not
original.They are REPRODUCTIONS/REPRINTS.
Now I know many of you are going hey if this guy knows all this why didn't
he know what the Creature poster was. Fact of the matter is I did not. That
is why I said what I said. I have never held another CREATURE HALF sheet in
my hands or seen one.I know there are repros out there. This is the only one
I have ever held in hand or seen up close be it repro or original. It is on
a HEAVY stock paper. It is not on a LIGHT stock paper. As I said I never was
concerned if it was original or not as I traded for it. So I listed what I
knew and went from there. If some people want to construed this as a FRAUD
then so be it.
By the way I make it quite clear that I am not a DEALER or any kind of
PROFESSIONAL STORE OWNER in any way. I am not and never claimed to be. I am
a COLLECTOR. I have been buying selling and trading posters for many years.
But not as a Business.This should be quite obvious as I have HORRIBLE
service. I admit it.I am slow. Late all the time. But I tell people this ALL
UP FRONT. Many still complain about it and that is fine. Its not like I
didn't tell them. Of course many get pissed because I am so slow and that I
say I get items out in 30 days and many times I don't. They go and say I'm a
liar and so on and so forth. You know what ......All of this is true.Im not
perfect. Never will be. But I am not a FRAUDSTER or THIEF. I send the items
out. They are late as hell but they get there. Many people don't agree with
my Cond grades.But on the other hand I have many repeat buyers. I have many
people who do agree with my Cond grades and are quite happy. I don't know
what that means but I do know Im not some asshole calling people FRAUDSTERS
and THIEVES with out ever having dealt with them or knowing the full story.
And in the end that is MUCH WORSE then ANYTHING I do.

REPRODUCTION - a replica poster made for consumer sales - possibly
different
in size.
REPRINT - a studio issued poster made for sales from studio stores,
licenced sellers, poster/movie/music stores etc. (although I've seen some
people use this term for Reissue - personally it doesnt seem right).
FAKE - made and/or sold with the intention of the buyer believing they
are
getting an original poster made for theatrical use when in fact it is NOT
(see Minty Whites).

Yes, I feel that we have definitely entered the TWILIGHT ZONE now with
this CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON poster.
