Great product, It will buffer for a good 2-3 years. Hence "Buffer", there is a big difference from "impregnate" when soaking the poster in a deacidifying bath the poster will be completely soak through and impregnated with Ca CO3. Dario. Randall Petersen wrote: I used Bookkeepers on all my older more valuable posters, unless I'm planning to linenback them (which I only do when restoration is needed). I apply it liberally to both the front and back of each poster. Although it looks 'wet' when you apply it, the carrier solvent is a non-aqueous one which evaporates very quickly leaving the magnesium buffer behind; the paper is not actually moistened. I have had NO problems with wrinkling, curling, discoloration, or ink running. Now, how well it actually works to deacidify a poster is another question, probably nowhere near as well as a deacidifying bath but better than nothing. Also the stuff's not cheap, and you go through it fast with larger pieces.Randy
