There's another way that automated sniping can fail.  Ebay frequently
makes minor changes to it's website.  These are generally transparent to
most users but often will necessitate modifications by sniping websites or
updates to sniping software running on your home computer.  If these
coding revisions aren't done in a timely manner, your bids may fail.  And
for some reason, ebay frequently seems to make these changes on Tuesdays;
yes, you guessed it, typically just hours before Hershenson's auctions
end.
