Among collectors, I didn't have the privilege nor honor of knowing Dennis. I can't speak for others, but my impression is if anyone knew him -- he or she would've (or should've) offered their condolences by now, unless the temptation to continue "lurking" at MoPo proved more powerful than speaking out. (A sorry excuse in my opinion.)
Of course, as some of us knew Louis Leithold when he passed away last year, I would've said something if I knew Dennis. In truth (and in fairness), I never heard of him until now. The outpouring of grief magnifies my ignorance and mild shame. I get the feeling based on the notes here on MoPo, however, that more dealers knew of Dennis than collectors. That all shared warm feelings about him is proof enough he was beloved. -koose. ----Original Message Follows---- From: Dr Vollin Md <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [email protected] Subject: DENNIS THOMAS Date: Sun, 5 Mar 2006 16:30:08 EST IS 4 POSTS ALL WE HAD TO OFFER IN CONDOLENCES TO A COLLECTOR OF DENNIS THOMAS' CALIBER?
