Michael,
It's good to know the guy apparently plans to make good. But
you are wrong about one important thing: It may not have been his choice
to become "unregistered" from eBay, but it most definitely WAS his fault that he
was suspended from eBay. He was suspended because he forced to many sellers to
file non-payment reports on him. If he had paid those sellers in a
reasonable time-frame, they would not have reported him and he would not have
been suspended. The guy clearly has a problem with eyes that are bigger than his
wallet. He may intend to pay for everything, eventually, but that is not how it
is supposed to work. You are supposed to pay for the items you buy with a week
or two at the most unless you make prior arrangements with the seller. This is
how most of us bid -- and determines our maximum bid to a large extent -- and
someone who is willing to bid whatever, figuring he can just take as long as he
needs to come up with the payment, is bidding with an unfair advantage. Not to
mention the fact that a seller has a right to expect reasonably prompt
payment.
So, he should get negative feedback even if he does finally
cough up the money.
I do wish people would name user IDs in situations like this,
if they are going to go public with them at all.

well.......despite the crazy scenarios that the buyer wrote, i have come to
believe his sincerity.
1, last night he gave me a significant partial payment, and said
he did they same to others. he said the balance in a week, and did
not ask me to mail the poster. he told me he will honor all
purchases once funds are re-credited to his credit card from some fraudulent
activity.
2. a fellow MOPO member told me privately he got paid in full the
night before last---- after he became an "unregistered member"
3. a few emails told me they had PRIOR good dealings.
4. he was upset that he became unregistered and said he was suspended
because of yoo many nonpayment claims filed----so it was NOT his choice.
I WISH THIS DID NOT happen.....but the man seems sincere. it is
inconvenient, but i am comfortable with the situation.
