I sit corrected. Told you I was bad at doing percentages on the fly.

Subject: Re: [MOPO] When did eBay raise fees? Once again your
astounding math abilities amaze all. If you read it, the
page states that you pay 5.25% on the initial
$25.00, On anything over $25.00
(up to $1000.00) you pay 3% We’ll do the math for
you on an item that sells for say $600 $25 x 5.25% =
$1.31 $575 (that’s $600-$25
for you JR) x 3% = $17.25 Total = $18.51 or
3.09% From: MoPo List

Behalf Of JR I just noticed
something: Ebay has raised its final valuation sales fee to
5.25% -- and to 8% on items that sell for more than $25 (!) When did that
happen? Last I looked it was 3.75%. They also raised their basic insertion fee
to 35 cents from 30. They apparently managed to do this quietly... I don't
recall the usual outraged discussion that has always happened on MOPO in
the past when they raised fees. An 8% fee on something that sells for more that $25
bucks? Seems more that a bit high. -- JR
