A very enjoyable and thoughtful meditation on GIANT, Kirby. Much appreciated.   Watching FILM MAKER'S JOURNEY makes revisiting all of Stevens' films worthwhile. Even when one knows them quite well in some senses, understanding the kind of man that directed them certainly gives some new perspectives.   His WW2 experiences were quite horrifying, and there's no doubt there was an impact on the sort of films he made.
