Alan,
As you know older window cards CANNOT BE
ROLLED.
I first have the window card packed inside a Bags
Unlimited precut window card size corrugated piece of cardboard with the thicker
plastic bag also made by Bags Unlimited. I then sandwich the window card,
cardboard and bag between four large flat folded FedEx boxes. Two on
each side which are larger then the window card. Then I take the
entire thing and wrap what is actually half of the cardboard box that those
large FedEx boxes come in around everything with the blank area on the
outside.
I use FedEx a lot and if you have an account with
them, you can get their boxes which are stronger than the USPS boxes.
I have sent hundreds of older window cards
which cannot be rolled this way and have NEVER had a
problem.
Best,
Todd Feiertag/Poster City

WINDOW CARDS
Alan,
I feel the only way to go is with a mailing tube -- and one at least 2
1/2 and 3 inches in diameter so you don't have to roll the card too tightly.
which will obviously tend to crease it. Since you don't need a tube much
longer than 16 inches, probably simply going to the hardware store and buying
a length PVC pipe and cutting it to size (with a hack saw) will be the best
approach. You cut cardboard circles to seal the ends with clear shipping tape
and you've got a safe, relatively lightweight container for shipping rolled
windows cards.
