Personally, I believe this problem is more eBay's doing than any particular seller (if I had a nickel for every time I saw a seller - other than Rick - pull that scheme...).  If eBay would ever enforce the rules that would improve their system (and not just the rules that improve their bottom line)...

I had to laugh when I read Steve's earlier post about having an auction ended (wrongly) by eBay - especially the part that read:

>"I will wait for them to put the auction back up, hopefully within 24 hours"

It made me think of an auction I had a couple months ago.  I paid more than $100 in listing fees (super-duper-premium-featured).  I did my research before listing the auction and followed every single eBay rule and procedure.  Heck, I even stated in the auction that all eBay terms and conditions would be followed (as well as any US or international laws).  So, what did eBay do.  They ended the auction because they thought it broke their rules.  Of course, they didn't actually read their rules!  After multiple emails asking for an explanation, with none forthcoming, they managed to refund about half of my money!  They weren't even going to give me the rest.  Then, after more complaints, I got an explanation - 2 WEEKS LATER - they finally admitted that it was their fault and the auction was ended inappropriately and refunded the rest of my fees.

So, Steve...  I think you're f---ed!  ;o)

Cheers,

Bob
