Kirby, you're right.  There is also a less common Subway Two Sheet that measures 41x54, also in a horizontal format, I believe.

I had an American two sheet for a LOUIS JORDAN film, LOOK OUT SISTER, and it was printed on two sheets and
measured 41 x 54 approximately, when put together.

According to Bruce H. the TWO SHEET measures 41x54, was printed on thin paper, for some B movies of the 40's and 50's, and was issued FOLDED.

According to L.A.M.P. there is another poster known as the SUBWAY TWO SHEET and its measures 59x45, (NOT 45x59), since it is in the horizontal format.  Also paper, also folded.

The 40x60 was printed on thick card board stock, distributed ROLLED, and I am not aware that it is refered to as a "Two Sheet".  Like JR has pointed out, some refer to it as a Drive-In poster.

I did not realize a 40" x 60" is a "Two-sheet" as Tom indicates below.  I always thought a two-sheet was more like a Subway poster, rather than a 40" x 60"

Thoughts?

Phil also mentioned how limited these are for major pictures like this one. Compared to other NSS materials very scarce. I was extremely fortunate to find the 60" x 40" two sheet from "The Poseidon Adventure" in MINT condition from e-bay seller Mrs. Miniver. I have been watching this two sheet for quite sometime and I think Amy wanted something like $500.00+ to begin with. I did purchase it the other day for $345.00 less postage. The artwork by Mort Kunstler is absolutely spectacular and I feel very fortunate to get this two sheet. I will continue my quest for a "MINT" two sheet from "The Towering Inferno". I do have the rare subway 45" x 59" on linen and the John Berkey glass tower artwork is fantastic. I do know that Grey was offering an "Inferno" at Heritage but it did not sell. It did have condition problems. Also Bruce sold one for very little but then again that one also had condition problems. The majority of these 60" x 40" posters do have condition problems. Yes, crinkles and wrinkles are a major common defect and problem among other problems.

I was pleased to secure a MINT two sheet from Todd from "The Spy Who Loved Me" and had it double matted. It is my most favorite Bob Peak poster. Also traded for the two sheet on "Octopussy" and currently have this at the frame shop. Both quite MINT!!!
