Michael,   Well, shoot, you can name about half of the posters from the 1970's through 1990 when the big design fad was to just show the name of the film with some icon type or small symbol... THE GODFATHER leaps immediately to mind as the most prominent example of this style, but there were hundreds of them done during that period.
