Hi from Joe B in NOLA.
I think my best "find" was running across a lobby card from 1935 on Ebay one day about four years ago. I paid $35.00 and, though I don't know the exact worth, I suspect it was a real bargain.
The picture is the 1935 Max Rheinhard'd "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and on the card are film-debuting Olivia de Havilland and already-scene-stealing Mickey Rooney. It's a great card!!
A couple of years back de Havilland was present at the Oscars to lend some real star-power and class in introducing past winners. Afterwards she and Rooney were reunited backstage. Both told press it was the first time they had seen each other since the Shakespeare film over 60 years before.
And they say Hollywood is a "small world."
Joe B.
