oday I got this email from the seller:

ebay will not allow one person in a transaction cancel a sale. he is
bound by the rules to sell you the item. so what if he thought it
should go for $5-8K.. what state is he in?
if you cannot resolve the issue.. I'm sure you have an option to sue
for lost income
