Boy,
I sure wish the name of this thread would change.  Each time I see a message
with the word "Outbid" pop into my mailbox I feel a little panic.

Agreed. Ebay however is not about protecting the seller. It's about
protecting Ebay's fees and commissions. FRANC

Yes, Bruce, I agree.  I think this is one of the worst ideas (getting  
rid of the bidders identity) that ebay
has ever had.  And they have had some bad ones over the years.
