The French 1958 one panel (Grande) from "The Bridge On The River Kwai" by Roger Soubie selling at Heritage on linen for ONLY $260.00 make's me very ill indeed. This has to rank as one of the finest poster's of ALL on this title. Being a stone lithograph and all. I thought it would go a lot higher so I decided not to place a bid and instead went out to dinner. Bad mistake!!! I wish Dominique or other French dealer's would offer it at this price!!! It's an absolutely stunning piece and put's other poster's on this title to shame. Like the American material's. Even the British Quad. The $260.00 does make me very ill. I hope someday I can afford one. But I will have to pay a dealer's price which will mean I can't obtain it. There is also another version of "Kwai" as a French Grande. It's by artist Georges Kerfyser BUT it's design can't begin to match the Roger Soubie version. --Tom Pennock
