Hi Kirby: I agree but after re-reading the description it sound's like the "Kwai" Grande had some major restoration done(inpainting). If I had been there in person to look the lot over up close then I could have seen what had been done. I think it worked out for the best. --Tom Pennock In a message dated 11/15/2007 9:09:16 A.M. You can't win if you don't play. And while there were plenty of bargains at Heritage, many posters sold for more than a dealer would ask. So unless you are going to conjure a poster or someone is going to give you one, your choices are limited. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has to rank as one of the finest poster's of ALL on this title. Being a stone lithograph and all. I thought it would go a lot higher so I decided not to place a bid and instead went out to dinner. Bad mistake!!! I wish Dominique or other French dealer's would offer it at this price!!! It's an absolutely stunning piece and put's other poster's on this title to shame. Like the American material's. Even the British Quad. The $260.00 does make me very ill. I hope someday I can afford one. But I will have to pay a dealer's price which will mean I can't obtain it. There is also another version of "Kwai" as a French Grande. It's by artist Georges Kerfyser BUT it's design can't begin to match the Roger Soubie version. --Tom Pennock ____________________________________ See what's new at _AOL.com_ (http://www.aol.com/?NCID=AOLCMP00300000001170) and _Make AOL Your Homepage_ (http://www.aol.com/mksplash.adp?NCID=AOLCMP00300000001169) .
