Note that, included in the title cards and scene cards are an amazing
collection of 16 title cards and 19 scene cards, all of which feature the
wonderful Maureen O'Hara! Included among these cards are many extremely rare
titles, such as They Met in Argentina, Immortal Sergeant, and others, plus
some of her very most popular titles, including The Hunchback of Notre Dame,
The Quiet Man, and Dance Girl Dance!

We really could go on listing 100 or more additional GREAT titles, but we
would assume that you want to see the images! But know that this is a
really remarkable collection of lobby cards!

LAST WEEK, WE SOLD AN EXCELLENT COLLECTION OF 800 SINGLE LOBBY CARDS, AND
THERE WERE MANY BARGAINS, EVEN ON SOME GREAT CARDS! Fully 10% of the cards
sold for under $5 each (and these were not "lesser" cards, but included a
lot of solid titles that would sell for $20 or $40 from almost any dealer!).
Not only that, but 178 cards sold for under $10 each, and 381 cards in total
sold for under $20 each, and they really did sell (there are other auctions
that PRETEND to sell like we do, but the low-priced items are actually often
"bought back" by the consignors or the auction themselves). Many of you
receiving this e-mail likely were the buyers of some of these great bargains
(either this time or in our previous lobby card auctions). Even though this
current auction contains tons of great cards, it is likely that there will
once again be lots of great buys, but you can't get those buys if you don't
bid!

On January 17th, we added 3,538 vintage 8" x 10" stills in 451 lots with 2
to 56 stills per lot, with most of four or more! and they close on Thursday,
January 24th! Read more about these below, or go see them right now (with
large thumbnails and links to these on eBay for easy bidding) in our
Thursday Auction Gallery!

and many, many more great stills!

Note that these stills come to us from two amazing sources:
One is from the collection of a New York City publicist who worked in
the movie business in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was sent large
numbers of mostly black-and-white stills from movies being released at that
time, including all of the very best titles. The studios sent these stills
directly to him, to aid him in publicizing the movies (often they would also
include a sheet or several sheets with captions for the stills, or with
information about the movie). Unlike the vast majority of publicists, who
would discard the stills or give them away, this particular publicist
carefully stored all of the stills he was sent and is only now first
offering them for sale! Not only has this collection not been "picked over",
but the stills are also in remarkable condition (most look as though they
were just printed, but we assure you they were not!).
The second collection comes to us from a theater owner and covers a
wider range of years than the above collection, including many going back to
the 1930s and 1940s, and they are slightly in lesser condition than the
above collection (but they are still overall in really excellent condition).
Putting the two collections together in one offering makes one of the
best collections of stills ever offered at one time, on eBay or anywhere
else! This is like entering a time machine and going back 30 or more years,
and entering a poster exchange, and giving them a list of titles, and having
them say, "oh yes, we have all of those"!
Best of all, all of the stills are being sold with no reserve in an
opening bid of just 99 cents (per lot, NOT per still!). This means you could
theoretically purchase a lot of 50 stills for just a couple of cents each
(and while we do not think that could happen, you may well see some of these
lots selling for just pennies per still, and probably a fair number of them
will sell for under one dollar per still, even though they are in pristine
condition!).

IN NOVEMBER, WE SOLD 599 LOTS OF STILLS FROM THESE SAME TWO COLLECTIONS,
AND AFTER THE AUCTIONS CLOSED, WE RECEIVED LOTS OF E-MAILS FROM PEOPLE WHO
ARE SORRY THEY HAD NOT BID HIGHER ON ONE OR MORE OF THE LOTS. Please realize
that we are running out of the stills from these amazing collections, and we
have enough to do one more small auction of these groups of stills from
these collections a couple of months from now. THIS REALLY IS A REALLY
WONDERFUL COLLECTION OF STILLS AND UNBELIEVABLY GOOD CONDITION, AND I WOULD
THINK THAT STILL COLLECTORS (and dealers) WILL BE THINKING ABOUT THIS
AUCTION FOR SOMETIME TO COME (and kicking themselves over some of the lots
that they missed out on!).

REMEMBER THAT, IN BOTH OF OUR WEEKLY AUCTIONS (unlike some other sellers of
vintage movie paper), EVERY SINGLE ONE OF OUR ITEMS TRULY START AT 99 CENTS
WITH NO RESERVE ON ANY ITEM! AND WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THE SUPER-INFLATED
SHIPPING AND CRAZY "BUYERS PREMIUMS" YOU SEE IN OTHER MAJOR AUCTIONS! In OUR
auctions, you can purchase up to FIFTEEN 99 cent items and your total cost
is $14.85, plus a very reasonable $9 U.S. shipping charge (we only charge a
flat five dollar U.S. shipping on all of the stills, no matter how many you
get!). AND WE WILL LET YOU COMBINE PURCHASES FROM BOTH TUESDAY AND THURSDAY
INTO A SINGLE PACKAGE (whenever possible), THUS SAVING YOU EVEN MORE!
Remember that YOU can't get the great deals that happen week after week in
our auctions if you aren't bidding! AND YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE! If you
place a bunch of fairly low bids but only get one or two items, then you are
sure to be happy, for you will have gotten some really good deals. Even if
you place a bunch of bids and get nothing at all, you will only be out a
little of your time, and no more.
Do you know about our Tuesday and Thursday Auction Galleries? One of the
worst kept "secrets" in the movie poster hobby is that it is FAR easier to
look at our items through our Tuesday Auction Gallery (
http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/currentauctions.php) and our Thursday
Auction Gallery (http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/thursdayauctions.php).
When you look at our items on eBay, you do not see an image of the item
until you open the auction, which is very time consuming (we don't use their
"gallery" image, both because it is absurdly overpriced and because the
gallery image is too tiny to see any details). So instead, we have our own
Tuesday Auction Gallery and our Thursday Auction Gallery, both of which have
much larger images of each item, so that you can determine if an item
interests you BEFORE you click on it, thus making your surfing time far more
productive. PLUS these galleries are searchable by star, director, genre,
year, or anything you want to search for! Once you discover our galleries we
would be amazed if you go back to looking at our items directly on eBay.
The prices in our galleries update every 5 minutes, so the price under
each item can only be up to 5 minutes old. Generally, this is no big deal,
EXCEPT if you are looking at items as they are closing, then we recommend
you bid on the actual eBay page (which is easily accessed from our gallery
pages).
But because so many of our bidders now use our gallery, on rare
occasions it has overwhelmed our server, and some of our bidders have not
been able to access it, especially right when the auctions are closing.
Worse yet, an outage in our server means that you can't see the images on
our eBay auctions, because our large and super-sized images are housed on
the same server as our Tuesday Auction Gallery. SO WE HAVE ALSO CREATED
BACKUP "MIRROR" VERSIONS OF OUR CURRENT AUCTION IMAGE GALLERIES. They are
located at http://www.emovieposter.info and are available if our main
gallery is down, so the only time you want to use it is whenever you CAN'T
access our regular Tuesday Auction Gallery and our Thursday Auction Gallery,
OR when you can't view some or all of the images on our auctions (even if
you can't see them on eBay, you will be able to see them in our backup
galleries). You will likely either never need it, or only use it once, but
if you are a regular bidder in our auctions, it will be invaluable to you
the day you DO need it, for you will be able to see all of our large images,
and use this "mirror" version of our Current Auction Image Gallery, even
though the main version is unavailable. PLEASE ADD
http://www.emovieposter.info TO YOUR FAVORITES/BOOKMARKS.

We have lots of great auctions coming up!
On Tuesday January 22nd, we will add hundreds of window cards.
On Thursday January 24th, we will add hundreds of unfolded British quads
and 30x40s!
Good luck on whatever you may bid on in our current auctions ending on
January 22nd and 24th!
Note that this is an e-mail being sent to those of our past buyers who have
purchased items similar to what we are currently selling (the ones who want
to receive e-mails from us). If you want to be sure to keep up with
everything we are currently auctioning, you should consider joining our
great weekly e-mail club (over 1,940 members!). This club will keep you
informed about everything we are selling through just ONE e-mail a week, and
many weeks we make great bonus offers to club members who buy multiple items
from us on eBay! So if there is ANY chance at all that you might end up
buying a number of items from us on eBay in future weeks, then you have a
LOT of incentive to join the club (if you are not already a member) because
we will keep on giving away excellent prizes to those members of the club
who buy multiple items. Note that we have recently revamped and greatly
improved this club! It no longer is a very long e-mail (it is now just a
very brief e-mail, with a link to the message on our site), and we now run
fun weekly polls, which a couple of hundred participate in each week, with
great prizes for randomly selected members!

Why not join the club today (if you are not already a member)? You'll at
most receive ONE e-mail a week, and your e-mail address is NEVER given out
to anyone, and you have a great chance to win great prizes, and you can quit
anytime! Just go to http://www.emovieposter.com/mail/clubsignup.php and fill
out the super simple form, and you will be a member, and qualify for the
great club bonuses!
Be sure to check out our 927 TUESDAY ITEMS on eBay (on our "emovieposter.com"
account) sometime BEFORE they end Tuesday, January 22nd, beginning around 7
PM CST and also be sure to check out our 451 THURSDAY items on eBay (on our
"movieposter" account) sometime BEFORE they end Thursday January 24th,
beginning around 7 PM CST (either by going to
http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/currentauctions.php for our Tuesday
items or by going to
http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/thursdayauctions.php for our Thursday
items, or by using the link from our HOME page,
http://www.emovieposter.comor by finding us by our eBay user ID,
emovieposter.com). We feel certain that if you purchase even one of them and
then once you see how honestly we describe them and how we charge only the
actual shipping cost and how we send them right out promptly and
well-packed, that you will declare your independence from those auction
houses with the outrageous buyers premiums, the over-graded items, the
misleading images that obscure defects, and the outrageous shipping! Good
luck on whatever you may bid on.
