Zeev -

I couldn't get past DDL's performance mimicing John Huston. The whole picture
I was sitting there distracted by his voice thinking he's stealing John
Huston's performance from "Chinatown". Maybe he figured this was Noah Cross'
early life.

Many moments of the movie worked for me but I was less satisfied by the whole
of it than I could have been. I thought the preacher coming in at the end (and
looking like the same young man) was there only to give DDL a chance to
confront him and give the picture it's ending. It was awfully strange him
showing up like that.

  Hi all

I saw "There Will Be Blood" last night and came out bewildered and
disappointed.
Daniel Day-Lewis' performance will probably be branded in my brain for a long
time, but the movie....?
I would like to hear your comments.
  Thanks,
  Zeev
