Very sad. My favorite Clarke book was probably The City and the
Stars, although I can't remember anything about it. It's time for
me to re-read it.
2001 has been my favorite film since I was a wee lad. The scene
where Heywood Floyd's daughter requests a bushbaby for her birthday
always cracks me up. I'm curious whether Clarke or Kubrick wrote
that line.
I've also been highly influenced by a documentary on fractal
geometry called The Colours of Infinity, which Clarke narrated.
