Last year he gave a wonderful radio interview. He was an avid scuba diver and lived in Sri Lanka. He was an amazing writer and person.

Clarke R.I.P. at 90 Very sad. My favorite Clarke book was probably The City and the Stars, although I can't remember anything about it. It's time for me to re-read it. 2001 has been my favorite film since I was a wee lad. The scene where Heywood Floyd's daughter requests a bushbaby for her birthday always cracks me up. I'm curious whether Clarke or Kubrick wrote that line. I've also been highly influenced by a documentary on fractal geometry called The Colours of Infinity, which Clarke narrated. -rk On Mar 18, 2008, at 3:20 PM, Richard Halegua Comic Art wrote: http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/books/03/18/obit.clarke.ap/index.html Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___________________________________________________________________ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.
