on ebay presently, a very honorable seller has an insert that looks nearly
perfect. the description states, however, that the bottom fold it is
completely separated. (honest seller with full disclosure)

i own this 1940s beautiful insert for an awesome film and great cast with
great artwork. it is very rare, and i have not seen another one until now. i
paid about 160 on ebay about 5 years with a snipe....and it was clearly a
bargain. the auction houses would get 700 plus plus plus today..

I AM SURE that this could easily be RESOLD by an unscrupulous person, after
it is placed on linen or paper-backing and sold as "MINT" .

moral of the scenario: you never know what you get when something was
backed no matter who the seller is!!!! i always am willing to pay more for
unbacked!!!! ....this always invokes the war on MOPO, linen versus non-linen.

Perhaps, the studios missed a great B MOVIE title in the 50s: WAR OF THE
LINENBACKER PEOPLE

((( i choose not to start a war by naming the seller. the seller is truly
an honest seller, and has disclosed the defect. my comments address the
after-sale )))
