Sad news indeed. I was notified during the week that he went suddenly last
weekend. Must have been sudden, as I'd been in email contact with him a few
days earlier. Met him first when I was quite a novice collector at the various

UK shows, and he was always very helpful and friendly with reasonably priced,
sometimes quite exotic, material. He was primarily a fan of film - he has
written a few books and, if I remember correctly from early conversations, he
started as a journalist writing articles. I suppose one of the disadvantages
of the internet is that I stopped bumping into him casually at fairs and
auctions, and lost touch to a large degree except for perfunctory emails.
Shame to
lose such a decent chap.

Hi,

I am sorry to have to report that UK poster dealer Don Shiach has passed
away. Anyone who dealt with Don at the Ed Mason shows or though his Ebay sales
(Moviedrome) knows that he was a gentleman with a good eye for a rare poster.
He will be missed.
