Consignors sometimes consign several copies of the same poster. I
assume that most auction venues would try to stagger these types of
consignments rather than sell them in a row.
I went to a show one time where one dealer had seven or eight VERTIGO
one sheets - NM! He sold them all right there!

I can't even understand the question from the person really.. Every
week I see Heritage sell many of the same items
they sold Gorgo 1 sheets 3 weeks in a row and all that is is that
they get so much stuff they can sell the same titles day after day
and no title he mentioned is exactly rare.

Now that I have received the original post, I will state with our

end stuff. The risk is way too great. FRANC

Subject: Re: [MOPO] Does Heritage Phony Up Its Weekly Sunday
Auctions?
here is the email he sent me after I responded to him.....I
thought it went to all of mopo....
-------------------------------------------------------
Heritage currently has 114 just listed today for auction on the Bay.
I picked 6 of these at random and after checking found that all
six were supposedly previously sold on Heritage Sunday night
auctions within the past year. All have the same photos both on
Heritage and the Bay.
The six items selected were:
Pelham 1-2-3 MN Advance One Sheet. Supposedly sold on
Heritage for 45.00 on 04/06/2008
Guys & Dolls LCS. Supposedly sold on Heritage for
$42.00 on 01/18/2008
Romeo and Juliet (68) French Grande. Supposedly sold
for $10.00 on Heritage on 03/23/2008
Mirage (65) NM One Sheet. Supposedly sold for $11.00 on
Heritgae on 03/30/2008
College Confidential NM One Sheet. Supposedly sold for
$11.00 on Heritage on 04.20/2208
Kiss Tommorrow Goodbye (3 Lobby Cards). Supposedly sold
for $18.00 on Heritage on 03/30/2008
Six out of sic (well seven if you count Donovan's Reef) is too
much of a co-incidence for me.
-------------------------------------
so I emailed him back with my response:
my guess is that they are all just deadbeat buyers.....or even
RETURNS that people weren't happy with. I've returned a few things
to them over the years.....and my buyers even occasionally return
something to me (not often...but it happens).... and I just re
auction them to get rid of them....and this looks to be exactly
what they are doing. just getting rid of dead stock...
