I consider Bruce a good friend, and it NEVER upsets me when people speak
well of him and in fact I encourage you to take him up on his offer to sell
your items for you.

My point was only in relation to your suggestion of pennies on the dollar,
and an observation that I didn't see it for the more expensive items you
listed.

Your assertation that you priced all of your stuff "LOWER" than Bruce and/or
Heritage is obviously FALSE.

Not only by your own admission in the case of the Psycho/Birds lot, but by
my example of your Dead End poster.

But of course now you have encouraged me to check a few others.

Let's see:

My Favorite Spy - Your price $99. Top Price Bruce has ever sold one for:
$76.

NOT LOWER

Song of Bernadette - Your price $125. Top Price Bruce has ever sold one for
$76

NOT LOWER (but yours is rolled and looks to me to be a great deal).

I really don't want to check any more, and I am sure that you do have many
lower and some higher - that is the nature of the business.

Your Portrait of Jennie seems like a great deal for anyone looking for that
poster, and I hope you get a sale on it at a price that makes you happy.

Again, my only point of reference was to the pennies on the dollar comment,
so I looked at your listings and sorted them by highest to lowest price.

The first thing that comes up is the Psycho/Birds lot, which didn't strike
me as pennies on the dollar and quite possibly makes people less inclined to
continue looking at the rest of your listings.

Don't worry - I will have an auction in a couple of weeks, and I invite you
to take shots at any items you wish and tell me how overpriced I am.

i think i might have upset you sean when i spoke well of bruce. i saw
your posting last night encouraging people to consign to you. i was
unimpressed. i never knew of you before. the 2 two sites that impress me
are bruce's and heritage for items in excess of 3,000/4,000 where audience
participation can increase the value of a good consition poster.

every price i started my ebay auctions was AFTER reviewing bruce's sales,
hesitages and icollectmovieposters.com After doing so, i listed my stuff
LOWER.

Read my description for the beautiful PORTRAIT OF JENNIE. I specifically
reference bruce's recent sale in that one. my poster is in super, great
condition.

check my 2 lot package of BOTH half styles of BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT
where i am asking 79.99. i show in that description one honorable ebay
seller having just one style for 175.00 right now there are 11 ebay
watchers on this lot. i am selling these two posters because i just
acquired 2 other in even better condition. i am not looking to make a
killing. my cost with postage was from an ebay seller was about 60.00, so
if i sell...............at the opening, i make merely enough for a burger
and coke. bruc e would get about 75 each in this condition.

Item

so much of my stuff started at less than 9.99--------------

i am becoming to realize that on higher end items, people want to deal with
those sellers like bruce and grey, just as i do.

when you have a loyal base of buyers, you get fair value of an item that
starts at 99cents. i cannot risk that.

as to my combined lot of PSYCHO and BIRDS, that is my ONLY high ticket item
listing. it is a MAKE AN OFFER AUCTION. the condition is awesome of each
poster. that description is worth reading.

my feedback speaks well of me...............

Not usually one to question how people price their own material, but wanting
to see these great titles for pennies, I went and looked at the listings.

Psycho Insert/Birds Half sheet for $2675?

Not exactly pennies. A Psycho insert usually sells for $1000 or less, Birds
half is $500 or less. No savings there.

I started my last Psycho one-sheet at $9.99

Dead End re-release one sheet for $199.99?

Heritage auctioned one a couple of months back that ended at $100 - not
exactly pennies again.

Road to Utopia $188

Seems about right, later "road" movie, but not offered as much size and
rolled.

Really don't feel like checking any more, perhaps the pennies titles are
things that are listed for $9.99 and might usually be advertised at $20 or
something?

I'll say again, that several people still do well when offering material on
eBay - and I count myself in that group, just see some of the record sales I
mentioned yesterday and every one of those items started for less than $10.

Absolutely lots of people go to Bruce's website to bid, but that doesn't
mean they've left eBay entirely, and there is no substi tution for large
hi-res scans and a no questions asked return policy.

bruce (and readers of MOPO)---

bruce, your sentiments confirmed my original posting. i am sure you won't
be surprised when i call you and ask the procedure to consign. 20let's see
what happens with my stuff ending on ebay today.

when i used to sell on ebay a few years ago as a hobby, it was fun. but
having great titles go unnoticed or for pennies recently is frustrating.

the variable that no one seems to recognize is that you seem to have taken
tons of ebay buyers with you and they don't look at ebay. AND, those buyers
seem to be willing to pay premium prices because so many ebay sellers
scammed people with horrible descriptions and tiny scans. I was scammed
recently on ebay.....from a 15,000+ feedback seller who doesnt take paypal.
I understand people buying from you (just like I do) because you seem to
value your reputation more than a quick sale.

in any event, my only question for possible future consignments is the
turnaround time for you to list items.

BUT, FOR TODAY, bruce, you know very well that the items i have listed are
steals for those still checking out ebay listings.
