This reminds me. I have TWO items left to run in my eBay store. This is the first and only time I will tell you about them. Promise.

The unique to total positive feedbacks ratio clearly indicates repeat business. I don't think there has been one week where we have not had either auction or store items running for 52 weeks a year, for all those years. The fact is, we have done over 19,000 total eBay sales in 9 years (under our cinemarts ID) but because we never give feedback unless we receive it first (for the obvious reasons most sellers absolutely understand after their first couple of deadbeat buyer negatives) and have never once asked a buyer after the sale to LEAVE FEEDBACK, never bothered one single buyer with a follow-up email asking for that feedback, and only ever seen eBay as one form of our business revenue. In the last 48 hours my feedback % was either 99.2% or 99.7% depending on when and how you looked. On a couple of occasions it appeared that I wasn't offering anything for sale. Not even those 2 items. A few weeks ago, we had about 250 items in the store. None of them showed up when you clicked on our ID for items for sale.... at all. That hit and miss catch-all seem to start operaitng after we lost Powerseller status, along with being notified via email that there was a message in My Messages, or a Paypal notification that someone had paid by Paypal. We even missed a couple of Item Sold emails and the first we knew (because we don't live in My eBay) was when a buyer emailed us and said - Hey, I bought something, how much to ship it? They want us all to offer Free Shipping, so they can get a slice of that. They want to be another Amazon? If that's the plan then they are already up shit creek without a paddle, because the one thing they do not understand (or two, really) is customer service. Because with eBay they have two "customers". They have the buyers and they have the sellers. No sellers, no buyers. We have no idea at thsis stage whether we will have a few items running on eBay or spend our time doing something productive. So right now, as of this moment, there are two items in our eBay store. They don't have free shipping, they will be securely packaged and shipped expediently. Maybe not tomorrow, because Mondays I don't usually go to the post office. Most people are content with listing on Mopo either once or, at most, twice a day. This is getting ridiculous... Read my description for the beautiful PORTRAIT OF JENNIE. I specifically reference bruce's recent sale in that one. my poster is in super, great condition. link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ViewItem&rd=1&item=200250685824&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=010 check my 2 lot package of BOTH half styles of BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT where i am asking 79.99. i show in that description one honorable ebay seller having just one style for 175.00 right now there are 11 ebay watchers on this lot. i am selling these two posters because i just acquired 2 other in even better condition. i am not looking to make a killing. my cost with postage was from an ebay seller was about 60.00, so if i sell...............at the opening, i make merely enough for a burger and coke. bruc e would get about 75 each in this condition. link: http://cgi.ebay.com/BEYOND-A-REASONABLE-DOUBT-BOTH-STYLE-HALF-SHEETS-dana_W0QQitemZ200250682959QQihZ010QQcategoryZ60331QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem so much of my stuff started at less than 9.99-------------- i am becoming to realize that on higher end items, people want to deal with those sellers like bruce and grey, just as i do. when you have a loyal base of buyers, you get fair value of an item that starts at 99cents. i cannot risk that. as to my combined lot of PSYCHO and BIRDS, that is my ONLY high ticket item listing. it is a MAKE AN OFFER AUCTION. the condition is awesome of each poster. that description is worth reading. my feedback speaks well of me............... michael -----Original Message----- From: Sean Linkenback <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sat, 6 Sep 2008 12:40 pm Subject: Re: [MOPO] FS: ebay items ends today......AUCTION QUALITY ITEMS TO STEAL Not usually one to question how people price their own material, but wanting to see these great titles for pennies, I went and looked at the listings. Psycho Insert/Birds Half sheet for $2675? Not exactly pennies. A Psycho insert usually sells for $1000 or less, Birds half is $500 or less. No savings there. I started my last Psycho one-sheet at $9.99 Dead End re-release one sheet for $199.99? Heritage auctioned one a couple of months back that ended at $100 – not exactly pennies again. Road to Utopia $188 Seems about right, later “road” movie, but not offered as much size and rolled. Really don’t feel like checking any more, perhaps the pennies titles are things that are listed for $9.99 and might usually be advertised at $20 or something? I’ll say again, that several people still do well when offering material on eBay – and I count myself in that group, just see some of the record sales I mentioned yesterday and every one of those items started for less than $10. Absolutely lots of people go to Bruce’s website to bid, but that doesn’t mean they’ve left eBay entirely, and there is no substi tution for large hi-res scans and a no questions asked return policy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: MoPo List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Michael B Sent: Saturday, September 06, 2008 11:43 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [MOPO] FS: ebay items ends today......AUCTION QUALITY ITEMS TO STEAL bruce (and readers of MOPO)--- bruce, your sentiments confirmed my original posting. i am sure you won't be surprised when i call you and ask the procedure to consign. 20let's see what happens with my stuff ending on ebay today. when i used to sell on ebay a few years ago as a hobby, it was fun. but having great titles go unnoticed or for pennies recently is frustrating. the variable that no one seems to recognize is that you seem to have taken tons of ebay buyers with you and they don't look at ebay. AND, those buyers seem to be willing to pay premium prices because so many ebay sellers scammed people with horrible descriptions and tiny scans. I was scammed recently on ebay.....from a 15,000+ feedback seller who doesnt take paypal. I understand people buying from you (just like I do) because you seem to value your reputation more than a quick sale. in any event, my only question for possible future consignments is the turnaround time for you to list items. BUT, FOR TODAY, bruce, you know very well that the items i have listed are steals for those still checking out ebay listings. michael Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___________________________________________________________________ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List S end a message addressed to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking for spoilers and reviews on the new TV season?
