Hi Paul,
Are you sure about that, because I have an official document from our Dutch
Finance Department saying the tax-free amount of 22 Euros will go up to 150
Euros.
Since I now don't need to pay anything extra for orders under 22 Euros the same
will probably apply to the 150 Euros.
This is in a document talking about how many people are dodging or slipping by
these taxes and that customs does not have enough time to check everything.
Because the tax-free value goes up customs has a lot less packages to check and
more time for other important stuff.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Ron

An improvement, but it looks like this only applies to import duty - VAT (and
of course the resulting handling charges) remain at the same limits.

There is hope for those in Europe because starting this December you are
allowed to import packages with a value of up to 150 Euros ($200) without
    paying taxes.
