I'm still trying to figure out the name of that Abbott & Costello /
Boris Karloff film. I think the title is so bad that the filmmakers
and poster makers were both confused.
In the movie, you see an animated title card that says:
BUD LOU
ABBOTT COSTELLO
MEET THE
KILLER
Then the camera pans down to a title card that just says:
BORIS KARLOFF
That dissolves to a list of the other actors.
If you didn't know any better, you would probably assume that
Karloff's name was not part of the title. The poster, however, says
"BUD ABBOTT AND LOU COSTELLO MEET THE KILLER, BORIS KARLOFF", which,
if correct, is one of the worst titles I've ever heard.
