I was there a couple times about 20 years ago
it was a marvelous place but we were only a couple hours both times..

but I think his legacy is considerably more than that.
film personalities like Spielberg, Tim Burton, Frank Darabont, Tom Hanks and countless others have credited Forry via Famous Monsters as so influential in their lives because reading FM made you aware that you could be part these things too that you love so much and build your life around it.

I'm glad that he had been at a couple of Ray Court's shows in the past couple years so I could talk with him at what I knew then was nearing the end for him.

Even at 91-92 years old he was lucid and informational and fannish.

I feel sorry for his 2 good buddies - Ray Harryhausen and Ray Bradbury - who were his lifelong friends.

My own influence by FM without a doubt also led to me being a collectibles dealers since I was 9 years old

I'll be writing a biographical article for MoviePosterBid this or next week and post it here.

He was an amazing man who will be missed by, most likely, hundreds of thousands of longtime fans

sorry to read that Forry has gone to the Great Beyond, although i had
read he was in failing health recently.. i visited the Ackermansion a
couple times here in LA, with Forry leading the tour. he really loved
to have guests and show it all to eager visitors.

was fascinating and what great memorabilia he had before it started
being scattered to the winds.

he will be missed!
