I think the one making the claim would have to have an itemised inventory with
their insurance company and some kind of valuation from a reputable specialist
dealer to pull off something like that... but desperate times call for
desperate measures for some people... a fact all insurance companies are no
doubt now dealing with daily.

Edward G. Robinson would figure it out in five minutes and fire off a couple
smart one liners at the same time.

Interestingly enough, I had the exact same thought.

I wonder if this Poster Bob website is part of some insurance scam. A poster
collector's garage will catch on fire, damaging his Lady and the Tramp poster.
Then, he'll say to his insurance company, "That poster was worth 51 large! It
says so on the Poster Bob website!"

I think I'll write this into the plot of the next episode of Poster Dragnet
(airing every Sunday night on the Movie Poster Channel).

THE TRAMP poster he is trying to sell... i just received this reply.....
somehow... a poster from the opening of Disney World in FL would not strike me
as either rare or priceless. anyhow... here is the response:

This Poster was bought at Disney World in Florida the first year that they
opened.

We have been unable to find another one still in existence. That makes this
a ONE and ONLY,of probably the most loved of Disney Movies, which really makes
it priceless.
