It think it's different.
Queer eye for the Straight guy is about gay men invading straight
mens' lives and helping them with advice from a more sensitive
perspective on their wardrobe, personal grooming, interior design etc.
They don't try to turn them to my knowledge, if anything it's about
helping improve their relationship with their female partners.
Whereas how I read Kirby's idea is that straight, (or perhaps
potentially more entertainingly, repressed homosexual, violently
homophobic), men have to actually turn gay for 24 hours, go cruising
in parks at night, visit Roman themed saunas etc.
Should probably stop talking about it or he'll lose millions.
