I think that if I had a ticket, I would fly from Colorado to see the oscars live -- even if I wasn't a relative. I'd even rent a tux. Even in the last row.

Methinks not. First off, i am sure that the other ballots are kept secure until the time that the envelope is opened and read... HOWEVER..i was emailing with one mopo'er one on one... and an interesting point was raised. How is it that SO many of Ledger's family was there to accept an award he that he could have lost? was it just simply such an overwhelming assumption by them that his entire family would fly all this way, to los angeles, only to have been members in the audience, and kept seats warm? Something seems a little off here. Or, would this have been an exception, in that they were told prior to the show, so they could get here? If that is the case---then that truly is a slap to the other nominees who were legitimately kept in the dark, until the winning name was read. jeff Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___________________________________________________________________ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: [email protected] In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.
