Bruce usually gets my poster stipend with Rich second.

Since I tend to buy 1930's RKO stuff I just wait for Bruce's auctions.

Right now on eBay someone is offering a linenbacked poster for THREE SONS
starring Edward Ellis an RKO film from 1939. They wanted 600 (or best offer)
for it.

Bruce sold one in January, unbacked for 51.00. Do I offer the seller on eBay
250? The price of the poster plus linenbacking? Think they'd take it?

Why would I go to eBay anymore unless it's something I REALLY need to have. But
then what do I really need to have except a roof, some clothes, a car and food?

i agree with you john. all the BUY IT NOW items are, i think, set this way to
try and obtain a quick sale, rather than having to wait a week or 10 days for
some possible coin to come thru.

  a shame, really.

and yes.. BH and his emovieposter.com auctions are the way to go. he always
has a great selection of items, his method of categorizing is easy to search
and maneuver thru as are his search options. and, of course, his awesome large
scans providing the detailed views of his posters is key, showing whatever
flaws or dings that others would want to hide.

Who in the heck places all those buy it now auctions on Ebay anyway? It's
more then 7 pages of them now.
I can tell you as a buyer, I look at none of those "buy it now"s anymore.
Same over priced crap everyday.
On the other hand I try not to miss BH and Movieposterbid's auctions. They
get most of my $ these days.
Does anyone else miss those old Rotman Ebay auctions? A lot of it was
kinda dogeared, but there was some cool stuff in those auctions.
