You guys just don't get it. By having a buyers premium, they "do not hit the consignor with all of the fees!"
Imagine if the consignor had to pay the 22% or 28%, on top of the 15% commission, and on top of the photo fees, and the insurance fees, and the catalog fees. This way, they share the pain with the buyer, and everyone pays less. Oh, if only there were any auctions where you paid no buyers premiums at all!
